Rahma Purisari earned a Bachelor of Engineering, Professional Architect Education (PPAr), and Master of Architecture from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in Surabaya, with a focus on architectural design. Her design thesis, titled “Color as a Form Giver in the Surabaya Cancer Clinic in the Context of Healing Architecture,” reflects her interest in healing architecture and color-based spatial experiences.
Before teaching, she was actively involved as a professional architect in consulting and contracting firms, with experience in hospital planning projects, campus development, and master plan development. She also holds a Green Professional (GP) certification as a contribution to the development of green buildings in Indonesia. In the academic world, she teaches courses such as Architectural Design, Interior Space Design, and Site Design.
His research interests include green architecture, social and environmental sustainability, and the integration of public spaces and communities. Over the past five years, he has been actively writing and publishing various scientific articles in reputable national and international journals. His research topics include elements of worship spaces, passive strategies in green buildings, social sustainability in public spaces, and political representation in urban spaces. He has also contributed to several book publications on public spaces and sustainable architecture, including Bunga Rampai RPTRA (2020) and RD2D: Pointilism (2023). His work reflects his active engagement in bridging architectural practice with social and environmental issues in Indonesia's urban areas.
